CEREC same-day crowns, digital impressions, and technology that supports assessment and treatment planning in Mt. Juliet.

Technology That Supports Your Care

CEREC in Our Mt. Juliet Office

Our Mt. Juliet office uses digital impressions and in-office crown fabrication when they suit your treatment needs. We’ll explain which imaging and laboratory tools are recommended, how they support your care, and what your options involve.

CEREC Same-Day Crowns

Scan, Design, Create, and Fit

CEREC combines a digital impression, computer-aided design, and in-office milling. For many suitable teeth, we can create and place the final crown during one appointment. This can reduce return visits and avoid a temporary crown in appropriate cases.

Your dentist will check the tooth, your bite, and your treatment needs. Some teeth need additional treatment or a laboratory-made crown. Learn how same-day crowns work.

Digital Impressions

A Digital Model of Your Tooth

Our scanner captures the surface of your teeth to create a three-dimensional digital model for crown design. In suitable cases, this replaces a traditional impression tray. A digital impression records tooth surfaces; it is different from a CBCT X-ray, which shows structures beneath the surface.

We will explain which impressions or other records your treatment needs.

Comfort During Treatment

Nitrous Oxide Available

Nitrous oxide is available for appropriate patients who would like help relaxing during dental treatment. We review your health and discuss whether it fits your needs. Learn about nitrous oxide and our sedation options.

Imaging and Treatment Technology

Tools With a Purpose

Technology supports your examination and treatment plan. We select appropriate tools and explain what each can and cannot tell us.

3D Cone Beam Imaging (CBCT)

A cone beam CT scan provides a three-dimensional view of teeth, jawbone, and nearby structures. When clinically appropriate, it can support implant planning and assessment of complex concerns. It is not part of every crown appointment.

Intraoral Camera and Digital Photography

Detailed photographs can help us show you findings, explain treatment options, and answer questions about your teeth and gums.

Digital X-Ray Equipment

Digital X-rays can help evaluate areas not visible during an examination. The type and timing of imaging depend on your symptoms, oral health, and treatment needs.

In-House Digital Lab for Temporary Teeth

This laboratory workflow supports temporary restorations for treatments such as All-on-X. It is separate from our existing CEREC crown milling. Your implant treatment plan will explain when temporary and final teeth can be placed; next-day temporary teeth depend on clinical suitability, implant stability, and the agreed laboratory schedule.

Soft Tissue Laser

Soft tissue lasers may be used for selected gum procedures. Suitability, benefits, and recovery depend on the procedure and the individual patient. We’ll explain the suitable options before treatment.

AI-Assisted X-Ray Analysis

AI-assisted software may highlight areas on X-rays for a dentist to review. It supports clinical judgment and can miss findings or flag areas that do not need treatment. Your dentist remains responsible for interpreting images and recommending care.

Understanding oral screening technology

What a Device Can Tell You

You may hear about light-based oral screening tools such as OralID and VELscope. They display tissue fluorescence, but an unusual appearance is not a cancer diagnosis, and a reassuring result cannot rule cancer out. They do not replace a careful examination or appropriate follow-up.

Our oral cancer examination guide explains these tools and their limits, along with symptoms to report and why your dentist may recommend a biopsy or specialist evaluation. The useful question is always: what does this finding mean for my next step?
