Dental Implants in Mt. Juliet, TN

A long-term option for replacing missing teeth, designed to look natural and help you chew comfortably.

Understanding the basics

What Is a Dental Implant?

An implant is a small titanium post that replaces a missing tooth root. As it heals, bone grows around it in a process called osseointegration. A connector called an abutment supports a custom crown. This creates a stable, natural-looking replacement tooth without usually requiring the neighboring teeth to be reshaped.

What to expect

The Implant Process
1

3D Planning

Appropriate imaging, which may include a 3D scan, helps assess bone and nearby structures before surgery. We explain what imaging is needed and where it can be obtained.

2

Placement

Local anesthetic numbs the treatment area. Sedation may also be appropriate. We explain the procedure and your expected recovery before treatment.

3

Healing

The implant usually needs several months to heal with your bone. The timing depends on your health and whether additional treatment is needed.

4

Your New Tooth

Once healing is sufficient, we attach the connector and custom crown, check your bite, and explain how to care for your new tooth.

Am I a Candidate?

Many adults can be considered for implants. Previous extractions, age, or well-controlled diabetes do not automatically rule them out. We assess your oral health, bone, medical history, and medications together. Grafting or a different treatment approach may help in some cases of bone loss.

Comparing cost and long-term care

Cost and Lifespan

Implants and bridges differ in upfront cost, treatment time, and ongoing care. Implants can last many years, but the crown or other components may need repair or replacement. Surgery also carries risks, including infection, healing difficulties, and injury to nearby structures. We’ll discuss your individual risks, provide a written treatment estimate, and explain what is included. Cherry financing is coming soon. Ask our team which payment options are currently available.

Missing many teeth or struggling with dentures? Ask about All-on-X full-arch replacement — a fixed replacement for a full upper or lower arch. Depending on your treatment plan, next-day temporary teeth may be an option for eligible patients; the final prosthesis follows after healing. Timing depends on implant stability and the treatment plan.

Common questions about implants

Does getting an implant hurt?
Local anesthetic numbs the treatment area, and sedation may be available if appropriate. Some soreness and swelling are expected afterward. We’ll explain pain relief, recovery, and when to contact us.
How long does the whole process take?
Many cases take several months from placement to the final crown. Extractions, grafting, or additional healing can extend the timeline. We’ll explain the stages for your case at your consultation.
How do I care for an implant?
Brush daily, clean around the implant as instructed, and keep regular maintenance visits. The implant cannot develop decay, but the surrounding tissues can become inflamed or infected, and the restoration may need maintenance.
