Check your Aetna plan type
Aetna offers different dental products, including PPO, DMO and EPO plans. PPO plans can include out-of-network benefits; EPO coverage is limited to its network. DMO plans use a primary care dentist. Share the exact plan name with our team so we can check the treating dentist and office location. Aetna DMO coverage falls under our HMO exclusion.
Use your member tools
Your Aetna member website provides benefit information, ID cards, claims and a dental cost estimator. Review the benefits summary for your deductible, annual maximum and service limits before treatment. An online estimate helps you plan, but your own plan documents determine coverage.
Search the right dental network
Sign in to Aetna's provider finder for results tied to your plan. If you search as a guest, select the correct employer or individual dental plan. Confirm the specific dentist's participation before your appointment, because network status can change.
